It's finally back and so I'm gonna kick my new blog off with a celebration of this amazing show. I'm such a happy puppy right now! 😄
So let's start with a brief recap. In case you don't know. But if you don't know - go watch it!!! Here's who, where, what, why:
Main character is Kirsten Clark - played by the beautiful Emma Ishta - who has temporal dysplasia and gets therefore chosen for a top secret government program. She gets 'stitched' into the last memories of a diseased to solve murders.
This itself is a very intriguing setting. But the backstory of Kirsten is even better. Her parents were/are involved in the Stitchers-Program. Her father actually caused little Kirstens lack of time sensing. And might be the big bad all together.
What is the truth, who can she trust, what shoul she do? There are so many unanswered questions. And I can't wait for the new series to answer them.
But first a quick look at the other important players.
We have Kirstens roommate, Camille - brought to life by the wonderful Allison Scagliotti. Faithful, a true friend, absolutely reliable, and an absolut badass. Love her. And with Camille there comes boytrouble. Or at least my heart is torn. Which guy is better for her?! We'll see.
There is sweet, sweet Linus. Who's absolutely adorable. And they made such a great pair. We want him to be happy. Even though he chooses strange passwords for getting Kristen out of the dead. 😉
In the other corner stands Detective Quincy Fisher. Good-looking, no-nonsense guy - amazing Damon Dayoub. He is the law, he represents truth and fierce and honesty. So glad, he became a regular.
Let's not forget Kirstens beau, funny, next-door-guy, Cameron aka Kyle Harris. Who gets Kirsten like no one does. But she has so many issues and so many ghosts haunting her. Their slowly built friendship, the beginning of something deeper, the wonderful "With you here, here feels like home" to the heart warming "However long it takes"-Cliffhanger. It's so sweet and complete and perfect.
Last, but definitely not least - the woman who brought me here, who I loved in Eureka and who is equally superb as Maggie, head of the program and entangled with Kirstens past. The wonderful, amazing, beuatiful, talented Sally Richardson-Whitfield.
The second season ended very cruel. We still don't know, what the intentions of Kirstens dad are, but I already hate him. He highjacks Kirstens brain, tricks her with a familiar, friendly face, and traps her in a memory with her mom. And she decides to stay. And Cameron just waits. Patiently. Understandingly. Faithfully.
And so did we, the fans, wait. At first not even knowing, if the show would continue. Then waiting for them to get ready. Now I will watch the first episode of the third season. And then there will be spoilers.
